Digital Radiography

Digital Radiography has revolutionized the diagnostics and treatment of systemic metabolic diseases, as well as orthopedic issues.   Like its application in Digital Dentistry,  Digital Radiography produces an immensely better quality X-ray with far less exposure.  The quality of resolution is so detailed as to vastly increase the level and accuracy of clinical diagnostics.   This level of detail also allows us to be able to diagnose problems at far earlier stages than ever before.

Since images are immediately visible on a computer screen, repositioning of an animal, if necessary, is immediate.  Stress on our pets is vastly diminished.  Information on the radiographs can be stored on CD’s, and exchanged easily with consultants by computer.

In addition, digital radiographs eliminate the need for harsh, developmental chemicals and help  reduce our environmental footprint.

If you have never seen the difference between modern digital radiographs and old fashioned x-rays ask one of our techs to show you an example.  Digital technology is  an amazing gift to the practice of veterinary medicine.
